I left off in Designing Computer Graphics and Networks and Operating systems back in November. Since then, I have taken Design and Art Theory (basically, a traditional art class- no computer work) and Algebra in December, and this month am taking Advanced Computer Graphics (the next level up from Designing Computer Graphics) and Geometry.
Last month, I had a lot of fun in DAT, my art class. I got to really express my artistic side through my traditional art background. We did a lot of drawing and sketching, which is pretty much what I'm best at. We also used conte crayons and paints, and for the final project we had to create and ad campaign for a product which we created, using only the materials that we had been given and no computers. Here are some of the things I created in DAT.

I did really well in Algebra. My final grade was a 104.
This month, I'm taking ACG, which is a challenge, but I'm learning a lot. We've had to create a realistic-looking object using only a program called illustrator... then use that object in a magazine-ad layout. Now we've made a video player interface (Basically just the frame that goes around the video when you watch it on the computer) and are working on a "power bar", which is one of those meters in a game that tells you how much life or power you have left. Anyway, here is my object, my layout, and my video player.

So, that's what's been going on down here. I still come home every weekend, but my friends here yell at me for missing out on the fun stuff they do here. Oh well. I'm glad I get to spend so much time at home.
I promise I'll keep more up-to-date with this blog!
Love to you all.
Riley
